I recently had the pleasure of working with The Green Olive, a Southern California-based fast-casual restaurant chain and catering service, to completely reimagine their visual branding. They came to me with the goal of capturing their Mediterranean dishes in a new lightโliterally. The challenge was to create Mediterranean food photography that stood out with crisp, hard lighting and a beautifully styled aesthetic that reflected their unique offerings while setting them apart from competitors ๐ฅ
As the creative director and photography and video producer, I led the entire process, from conceptualizing the visual style for the restaurant food photography to overseeing the intricate details of each shot. This included decisions on how the dishes should be plated, the selection of props and surfaces, and ensuring that the food was stacked and presented in a way that felt both appetizing and authentic.
The result? More than 44 carefully curated images that showcase The Green Olive’s dishes in a fresh and vibrant way, capturing the essence of their brand while staying true to their Mediterranean roots. Each image was designed to evoke the textures, colors, and flavors that define their menu, offering a visual feast that reflects the care they put into every dish.
This project was about more than just photographyโit was about guiding a brand through a complete transformation of how they visually communicate with their customers.
