About

Hello,

I’m Marta Fowlie, also known as Food Polka, a versatile and experienced food-focused creative and content producer based in Los Angeles, California. I specialize in providing custom, affordable, all-media content production services centered around food and beverage, across the United States and Europe.

Throughout my career, I have worked in various roles, including producer, culinary producer, food stylist, food photographer, prop stylist, creative director, and commercial director. My portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, such as product and editorial food photography, music videos, commercials, branded content, celebrity content, stop-motion animation, short films, explainer videos, cooking recipes, various formats of social media content, and ads. I have collaborated with both, small and large production teams and worked closely with diverse clients such as advertising agencies, media companies, and food, beverage, and hospitality brands.

What sets me apart is that I’m not just a typical food stylist or culinary producer. I’m a sociologist with an additional business psychology degree and a creative entrepreneur. I have a deep understanding of consumer behavior and what excites and motivates people to buy products or services.

Through my content ideas, I navigate your target audience’s mind and create content that drives the highest return on investment possible, whether that means conversions, sales, or brand recognition. I recognize that content shouldn’t just be pretty or cool, but also effective. I understand which types of content perform best and why, and I caution against copying competitors’ ideas, as the most successful campaigns don’t always look how you may expect.

Using my extensive industry knowledge and experience, I founded and developed Phoode.com, a large-scale online platform for food creatives. Today, I oversee and mentor an international team of food-focused creatives who share my passion for producing impactful content.

What an amazing story… I proudly come from full polish heritage, my grand parents and parents immigrated to Australia after everything was lost… I will never forget the amazing smell of my grandmothers kitchen which has had a major impact on my passion for cooking… I too love finding new things to cook with but also love trying to replicate the amazing polish food that Babcia used to cook… I have a face book page where I upload pics of the things I cook (some good, some not so good) and I try to influence others to get creative in the kitchen on a budget and be greatful for the abundance of different foods we have available… If you would like to take a look, my face book page is ‘www.facebook.com/snoskitchen’ would love to hear what you think… Cheers and best of luck to you… Sno

    • Thank you very much for writing this Sno. It means a lot. I will follow you on Facebook. I myslef like cooking on a budget as it is more challenging and it makes me more creative. Keep in touch. Marta
