I have a good friend who lives on the Central Coast of California near Paso Robles, and I crash at his place often when I am working on the events in the winery or when I branch out to shoot scenic vineyards and wine culture of the Paso Robles 🍷 🍷 . But his location is special. It’s up in the oak trees-covered mountains, with killer views of canyons and wildlife like tarantulas and coyotes roaming around.
One day, while poking through his kitchen cabinets (I usually cook for us when I’m there), I stumbled upon this awesome, vintage Mickey Mouse toaster he’s had since he was a kid. Feeling nostalgic, I decided to do a little photoshoot with it. It was springtime, and everything was lush and green, making for a perfect backdrop.
I set up a breakfast spread in the garden with the Disney toaster and made a classic PB&J sandwich—a treat that screams childhood. I set the scene and with my camera handy, snapped some shots, and this is one of my favorites 📸
